Third Grade News - February 9, 2018

What we have done:
This we introduced text features in non-fiction books.  Also we continued writing about our Famous Missourian and started our projects.  With the two snow days, we have moved the Wax Museum night to Monday, February 26, 2018.

ELA:
We will continue learning about text features in non-fiction books and test over them on Thursday.  In writing, we will continue publishing Famous Missourian paper  and working on our projects. 

Math:   
Monday we will be reteaching and retesting over Module 3 with multiplication and division.  Then we will start exploring area of shapes. 

Content:
Students will continue working on PBL about Famous Missourians.

Important Dates:
February 19 - NO School - Presidents’ Day
February 26 - Famous Missourian Wax Museum 6-6:45pm K-8 Cafeteria

How you can help! 
Continue to work on multiplication facts and strategies.
Zearn.org is a wonderful website that gives the students extra practice on the math lessons they have learned.
Xtramath is a great resource for fact fluency.
As we continue to work on famous Missourians encourage your child to      tell you about the different facts they are learning about their person.
